Yoga: Classes

Yoga is the science of self-realization, or the spiritual side of Ayurveda. It means union. It is the connection and focus of breath, body, and spirit. It enables us to look at all aspects of life equally to cultivate our connection with God. It teaches us to find stillness in our body and mind so we can let go of our ego and deepen the relationship with ourselves.

Yoga helps us get in touch with our senses and allows us to gain wisdom, freeing ourselves from attachments so we can live in harmony.

In my Vinyasa classes I safely guide you through poses and sequences linked with breath, connecting mind and body.

Asanas are sequenced so the body moves to warm up, engages in energizing poses and cools down ending with meditation.  This is a safe and challenging practice for all levels.

Tuesday 12:00 P.M. 



Yin Yoga is a deeper, quieter practice that allows you to turn your attention inward from a typical outward focus.  This practice is designed to build awareness, non-attachment, and contentment. It uses both compression and tension-based stretches held over a longer period of time, usually 3-5 minutes. This practice allows us to target the yin tissues of the body, also referred to as connective tissues or fascia. It is the perfect marriage of movement and stillness.
